Beyond the Limits of Architectural Detailing
Architects rarely get into the "nuts and bolts" when detailing a project. It's really beyond their scope of work and responsibilities. But the crews out in the field, tasked with actually assembling the various structural and other components, benefit a great deal by knowing exactly how the parts and pieces go together.
A report from PlanGrid and FMI Corporation states that, typically, construction workers spend almost 2 days each week either scratching their heads over the plans or re-doing work already installed to correct its shortcomings.
What a waste of money, time and resources.
But it doesn't have to be this way any longer.
